Jochen amongst the boulders in Kuehtei
Today was the first day of the new fitness program, a rest day. That sounded good to me and so for the first time since my arrival, I decided to become a tourist.
I took Jochen for a short walk in the morning and then set off to Chur by bus.
SPECTACLES
I need to add that on the way out of the training site last night, I suddenly realised that I had mislaid my 'distance' glass that are also sun glasses. It was that kind of evening. I also need to add that I brought FIVE pairs of glasses with me, three pairs for reading and two pairs for distance. You don't want to know how many glasses I have mislaid over the years and how much that has cost me.
So there I was in Chur taking out my second pair of distance/sunglasses and as soon as I did that, one lens fell out onto the road. NOO, this can't be happening! I found an optician who very kindly fixed it for me. The other pair was found and returned to me this evening. So I am still the proud owner of five pairs of glasses.
So that was the rest day. By the way, Chur is one of the oldest cities in Switzerland and has a very interesting old quarter. It is naturally surrounded by very high mountains. I enjoyed the day without the pressure I had put on myself and Jochen.
In the evening I took Jochen for another short walk where I found a field in which to do some motivational fun obedience. He really perked up at that and had a smile on his face. On the way home storm clouds gathered and yet another thunderstorm rolled in. We were drenched but that did not matter.
