However I had some real issues last night trying to come to grips with the Travel Card I had bought and not remembering all the details that went along with it. I had spent hours trying to remember, searching for bits of paper and getting more and more frustrated. To cut a very long and boring story short on that subject, I have finally sorted it, I think.
So I took Jochen for a short walk and then cycled to the next village to make some mundane purchases. By the time I got back it was about 12.30 pm and time to do something for Jochen. I ran my hands through his coat and lo and behold, a TICK!!!!! Shock, horror OMG. i then discovered that we are fortunately in a region where there are certainly ticks but not the dangerous variety. Apparently that area is about 30 km away. I tried to use the special tweezers and pulled out more coat than tick.
It was time to venture out on our own and I took a walk that promised to be nice and easy. I had bought special blister band aids tended my small toes with them and felt good. So off we went. because I seem not to be able to keep to the straight and narrow, this walk ended up being quite long and more demanding than I had wanted. So we walked, and walked and walked and three hours later we got back, very footsore and blisters complaining. Jochen just kept on walking.
