Peter on walk to Dreibuenderstein
Peter arrived late Sunday afternoon 21st October in Rhaezuens in a hire car. It was great to be together again after a 2 1/2 month separation.
Monday was a perfect autumn day and what better way to spend it than go walking. As Peter has been getting up at about 5.30 am every morning and working all day, fitness at the moment is perforce not what it might be. So the question was, what sort of walk? I chose the walk from Feldis to the Dreinbuendnerstein which we were never going to reach. But we got to some huts at 2,043m. The walk goes through beautiful country and the views are superb.

Peter on the Dreibuendnerstein walk
I slowed down my pace to suit Peter's physical state and Jochen kept turning round to look at me as much as to say, 'What are you doing? What is it with this snail's pace?'
Peter's version is that he slowed down to slow me down to save my energy for the test. Ha!
Peter did struggle and had to stop frequently, however, he loved it and felt proud that he had managed this walk. He generally does not have jet lag but maybe there was some effect on him after that long-haul flight.
This walk is really the first leg of the final stretch of this journey as Peter has come to watch Jochen and me at the test.
